You already know how I feel about nude nylons, or pantyhose, or nude hosiery: I can't stand them. You can read more here on top reasons NEVER to wear pantyhose. But it seems that people are interested to know what are the pantyhose trends in 2015 and whether nylons are out of fashion.

But since the topic became one of the top conversations on this blog I decided to provide some not so horrifying choices of nude nylon. I also asked on my Facebook page and Twitter what fans thought about nude hosiery. On top of that I also read few opinions on social media from high designers to fashion bloggers. Here the truth on nude nylons, pantyhose, nude hosiery, etc.

ARE PANTYHOSE IN or OUT in 2015?

According to a survey I conducted on Facebook and Twitter, 98% of respondents indicated that nude pantyhose are a NO. The New York Times published an article launching the come back of nude nylon attributed mostly to Kate from England. The article mentioned many designers who have embraced in the past year the naked feel of pantyhose. You can read the full article here. The number one reason for embracing the look of your grandmother is the effect of wearing nude hosiery - flawless legs ready for a photo shoot or eliminating aging imperfections. Not only that but many women are also wearing medical leggings which can prevent varicose legs and spider veins. At this point it would be interesting to see if big brands and designers like Nike will be able to come up with fashionable nylons that also have medical benefits for aging women or women who spend most of their day on their feet.
Glamour.com discusses the emerging trend of nude hosiery again attributed to the UK sisters (Pippa and Kate) debating whether and when it is ok to wear them. Here more about the article. Like me Tracey Lomrantz Lester has received responses from NOOOOO to "I disagree with your hatred toward nude pantyhose."
Ginger Burr argues that there are solutions to making panty hoses look acceptable and points out that in formal settings like work they are a "must." Here more on her article. So, what do you think? Have you changed your opinion on pantyhose?
